Lovin' the company of cats

Who said cats are solitary creatures? Not so. Most cats love the company of other cats and some will go so far as to share their human when she sits for 5 minutes.

Here's Lily, who has been my lap-cat for 10 years and Annie, who refuses to hear any of that. They get along well so they make room for each other. When I don't want to be 'pinned down', I sit on the couch and they lie one on each side. 2 funny little lap cats.

I love this white picket fence I pass by everyday. Oliver comes running to the side to bark at Kane and cause a fuss. Then I hear the owner, "Oliver, that's enough" and it makes me laugh because tomorrow Oliver will get to rant again. He's a border collie and protects his beautiful property.
What is this yellow bush?
I want to ask the owner but he'd never hear me over Oliver. :)
I'm on the hunt for more white picket fences and if there is a cat in their window.....'Jackpot'
I did find some nice kitties lounging around today in our neighbourhood.
Let's get a little closer look

and this one was in it's usual spot
"hello again"
Back home, the fire was on & the kitties were enjoying it one more time.
That's right, it was cold here today.
That's April in Canada
hugs, Deb

  5. I never have found cats to be solitary. Mine are quite the opposite and I know what you mean about being scrunched under them. Isn't that a Forsythia bush? ~ Maureen

  9. Hi Deb, would you talk about what you feed your cats sometime? I read an article recently by a vet saying that dry food isn't very good for cats and contributes to a lot of the common cat ailments like diabetes and UTI's. They need moisture in their food. Love the pic of you with 2 lap cats! Yes indeed, the cats in your house are truly fortunate! And yes, that's a forsythia bush.

  13. Beautiful kitties...and beautiful picture of the forsythia (my mum-in-law's favourite!)
Forsythia bushes as especially plump and gorgeous in New York city where my sister used to live...but this year: ours are spectacular!
