We had lots of laughs, shared some tea and then headed out for lunch at my favorite pub. A short tour of the town included some photos taken along our main bridge that crosses the Mississippi River. The weather was perfect, sunshine and no wind.
I know the girls enjoyed the shopping, and being artists themselves, they really appreciated some of the fine work that was discovered in those little shops. We couldn't leave Almonte without popping in to Baker Bobs and taking a few pics at the Falls.

Both Natalie and Ronna love cats so mine made sure they got lots of lovin' before the ladies left.
Ed was just waking up in his basket, Lily was around but not for photographs and Audrey came over, said hello and then disappeared. Sierra and Annie took center-stage.
The ladies arrived with gifts of fresh honey from Natalie's bees, homemade soap and this beautiful gravy boat hand-painted by Ronna.
It was a great time and I hope we can do it again soon.
Thanks so much ladies for a great visit and these sweet gifts.
Breakfast was toast and honey this morning.
Then everything in 'the cat's world' was back to normal.
Drop by Natalie and Ronna's blogs and check out their etsy shops.
I'm joining Bernideen at http://bernideensteatimeblog.blogspot.ca/ for Open House.

Jane, Deb knows how to make a narse cuppa tea. i was so impressed!!!
DeleteWe had a great time and mother nature co-operated. Today it is pouring rain.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great time! The gravy boat is out of this world!
ReplyDeleteImagine starting your day with syrup poured from a boat with a big orange kitty! It would just have to be a fun day. Couldn't be anything but.
Add some beautiful honey to your tea or on a muffin , what better.
Looks like you had a fun day. We need days like that more and more. Love the kitty in the bowl on the table. What great gifts.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a lovely day Deb! I will have a blog meeting coming up soon too. I always enjoy it very much as well.

What a wonderful day: tea, visiting with friends, shopping, presents and kitties!!! ♥
ReplyDeleteI had SUCH a good day. Can't wait to visit again! Thank you for all your kindness and hospitality, Deb. I was thinking this morning how glad I was that we went yesterday and not today in this damp, clammy weather
ReplyDeleteLove all my prezzies, too. You're the best. And that's a great shot of Annie!
Looks like you all had fun and getting aquainted with other bloggers is so special!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb! Oh, how fun and I'm sure you all had a great time! Y'all look so cute and happy! How nice to meet blogging friends. Wish I lived closer, I'd love to pop in to see you soon.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
LOVE the last pic with your table centerpiece! :)
ReplyDeleteHow great to be able to meet up with "long-time" friends even if you've just met for the first time. :o) What wonderful gifts they brought for you and it looks like they're both cat people, too. I've checked out their blogs and will definitely go back for more reading.
ReplyDeleteWe stopped briefly in Almonte a few years ago but only had about an hour or so to visit and many of the shops/restaurants weren't open. Hubby and I would love to visit again as it's a charming little town.
Oh, and love the photo of your kitty in the basket...to cute!
It looks like you had so much fun! So nice of them to bring gifts to you. I bet the honey was delicious for breakfast :)
ReplyDeleteI really love to meet my catlover-friends!
ReplyDeleteGreat meeting!!!
Looks like it was a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI guess it depends on the cat... some love new company, and others will just vanish as swiftly as possible.
How nice is to see that blogging world is like a dear family! I like the picture in which Sierra looks at Natalie and Annie is nudging and (surely purring)at her.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful experience to visit and meet each other and exchange gifts, stories and love...
Although I don´t have any blog I wish I could visit you someday and your dear town and hold in my arms lovely Annie, Sierra Ed Lily and why not Audrey to give them all my love !
Thanks again Deb for the great day yesterday. It was very special to meet you. Nat and I remarked in the car on the ride home that we had such a good time.
ReplyDeleteI've put all my goodies away and everything looks like it's meant to be there.
I've made progress with my orange barn cat btw. Tonight I fed him and was pretty close and talked to him and he didn't run away. I'll keep you posted.
Oh, your welcome Ronna. I hope the drive doesn't seem too long so you will both come back again this summer. Or, maybe the four of you. Either way, it would be great. Sounds good with the kitty. It takes patience like no other when dealing with a scared cat. Each has it's own story. I'll be interested to hear how its' going. I was busy today but will find out for you what the heck happened to our newspaper office. I'll let you know. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteWe'll definitely come back!! :)
DeleteIt truly is so much fun to meet blogging friends! Looks like you all had a great time!
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda

ReplyDeleteHey Deb, greetings from Oz.......I'm visiting you via Knatolee's World.
ReplyDeleteIsn't blogging just the best? Bringing together 'virtual strangers, that you really know already.
Lovely gifts from the girls and I imagine there was much chatting and laughing taking place throughout the day.
I'm sure your cats enjoyed the extra pairs of hands for more cuddles and pats too.
Two cats live in, I mean run this household, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
