Keeping her close.

I've had a busy weekend with cat-sitting and house-building plans. The weather is promising to co-operate and the sun is shining today. We finally took 'lil Cali out to the property to her final resting place under the apple trees by the stone wall.

She passed away Nov. 29th after being with us for 19 years. She was a character; full of spit and vinegar and we loved her so. I miss her and feel her presence in our home every day.  I am thankful that she will remain close to us.
"Rest well 'lil Cal. We love you."

hugs, Deb

  2. Your kitty was beautiful. I'm so sorry for the loss. We still feel the presence of the cats that we've lost. Our hearts are never the same, but that presence and good memories help.

  5. Our beloved pets are a very important part of our lives and we miss them so much when it is time for them to leave us. [I'm typing this around Eggnog, my dear 15 year old Siamese.] I've had to leave cat bones in some quiet spot at each home we've had over the years.

  6. Rest in peace dear Cali close to your lovely family, you live everyday in their hearts and memory ♥
Negrito and Vatuta rest in our garden among the flowers they loved together with Reina (who was a street cat we loved and fed twice a day for 6 years and never wanted to live with us she always came back to the place she loved 2 blocks from our home) we cherished their memories very close to our hearts♥

  15. Sending you hugs today, Deb. I know this will again stir the pain of not having her with you.
I am glad her little garment that she wore in this life is now resting near her others of family and is where you will be close by, too, when you have moved there.
I hope you will find comfort in the loving comments so many have left for you.
    Love,

  18. I know the feeling of loss from a pet...mine was my beloved horse, Bolido. Sometimes there are no words to express that feeling of loss. Photographs and memories help....
