First snow & projects ahead

We woke up to snow on the pumpkins this morning.
Not a surprise as I remember as a child having to climb over snow-banks on Halloween night.

I've been playing with my cupboard again and discovered late last night that the little frog on one of my tea-pots had broken off.

And his leg is missing. Hmmmm...
I immediately blamed Audrey who in turn spit and snarled and hissed and yowled. Just kidding...she just opened one eye and mumbled something about getting a life.  Anyway, I'll be fixing it today somehow and it will go on the top shelf.

For weeks now, I have been trying to decide what to do with my dining-room chairs. They need to be covered and I have finally decided on what type of fabric to use.
My inspiration came from as she showed her chairs now covered in burlap.
If you have your tea ready and want to surf awhile, drop over and enjoy this enchanting blog. I'm going to try a new tea to me.

So after cat-sitting I'll be hunting down some fabric to begin this little project.

Audrey wants to thank all of you for your support and comments yesterday.
She's exhausted from carrying on this fierce image knowing that I've got her number.

hugs, Deb

  1. You have the most delightful china! And cats ..... Eeekkk, snow already? x

  2. Burlap on the chairs sounds fabulous! Oh Audrey, we know you are a sweetie!

  3. We haven't had snow yet, but we had our killing frost just a couple of days ago. The temps are headed down!
    Too bad about that froggie.

  4. It is like a spring day here today sunny and temps are 14°C crickets and bugs are out and about again here as are the Cabbage moths very strange but nice lol ! I figured they would be all gone after the frosty mornings we have had ! Lovely china and kitties all looks so cozy ! Thanks for sharing ! Have a good day !

  5. I'm sure Audrey didn't have anything to do with that mysterious broken frog. :-)

  6. We probably had snow on the ground overnight- I saw traces that might have been snow, but most of it was gone by the time I stepped out the door.

  7. We were 77F/ 25C today. Probably
5 degrees hotter tomorrow. The snow looks so refreshing!

  8. Hmmm, Louise likes to knock things over too, especially pottery. Is Audrey emailing her tips behind my back??! :)

  9. It has looked like it was going to snow here all day. So far we have avoided it - but the day is not over yet!
