Made of Olive wood

Here's a little bit of jazzy James.
I added a couple more ornaments to the dining room today. This nativity scene is made of olive wood

along with this tree ornament.

Both were souvenirs from the retired-guys' trip to Israel 5 years ago.
Audrey spent most of the day in her self-made cave today.

Yes, of course she had been naughty and was hiding out but she spends half her day under blankets. She loves it and we are always having to check before we sit down. If there is a bump on the couch..she's the bump. She also looked out the window this morning at the snow falling and immediately hunkered down for the day and was happy to be an indoor cat.
We are having very mild temperatures though. I am leaving canned food once again for the ferals which I am sure they appreciate. In the coming days with temperatures below freezing it will be strictly dry food again.

hugs, Deb

    1. I hear you. I don't know what to do about water either. There is no where to plug anything in and I can't leave dishes around as it is an area where the owners are not cat friendly. The only reason ferals come there is because they smell the food in their garbage bins. Another lady started putting food out for them years ago and then she was injured on the ice and I took over for her 2 years ago. I go every night with food but have to be very discreet.

  4. I have an electric water bowl....it keeps the water from freezing.
    Takes very little electricity.
Unfortunately, the possum also loves the water.
I don't mind, but he insists on bathing in it, and getting it full of dirt.

    1. It must be fun to have a possum around as long as it is cat-friendly.

  8. The Olive wood decorations are just amazing and what treasures to display this time of year. There's lots of snow through the Cascades, but thankfully, we will have rain and in the 40s. I leave tomorrow to go pick up our sweet Rosie and feel like Christmas is coming early with the excitement. I will surely be posting about our new kitty when I return. I can only imagine what Audrey has done; good thing she has an "angelic" personality!! XOXO

  9. This reminds me of a set of olive wood camels a missionary friend brought my parents when I was a little girl. She had been working in the Middle East and also brought us some sugar cane to taste. It was all so exotic to a little girl!
