Springing up the dining-room

More bunnies and lambs are escaping their boxes.

And they are staying. I don't care what the weather is like anymore.

Sometimes the cats won't even notice when I put signs of the season out to enjoy. But then there are times when they do. Having two newcomers makes it a little more 'iffy' whether I can decorate for Easter or not. Isn't it great that we are talking about Easter now? Only two more days 'til Spring. "Ummmmm.....did I just hear that there is snow coming tomorrow? I'm hoping it's an early April fools joke."
Some of my favorite Easter decorations are less than perfect with their little chips and all but they were my children's Easter egg holders and they are now over 20 years old. My grandittles love to play with them now. I tower them together and place a chocolate treat on top.
Soon this bunnies cabbage sack will hold lots of Easter treats.

I decorated a little cupboard for Easter, too. It has doors that latch and since cats don't have thumbs (yet) I know it will all stay safe.

You know I'm never without company when I'm doing anything around the house.
I was a bit concerned about my violets when I discovered the blooms were turning brown on some very suddenly but after contacting my 'plant whisperer' Linda at I now know that that is common for this plant. The blooms are finishing up and will fall off eventually or I can pick them off with no repercussion. They love the dining-room where the sun pours in through the two large windows. Linda told me to make sure they get lots of sun and water them from the bottom up. I've been enjoying lots of blooms for months now.
Drop over and visit Linda. She is fun and down-to-earth and you'll love her blog.

The cats are enjoying the sun in the living-room today that comes in through the patio doors. Everyone is calm and resting. I knew week two would see some good results.

I made myself a little tea-cozy with some left-over wool from a scarf I finished. Fits to a tee.

Come on Spring...

hugs, Deb

  1. You certainly go all out!

    Annie is looking quite inquisitive.

At this rate we can expect spring in June.

  2. I love the bunnies, especially the first one ! Do you have any problems with your cats playing with them ?

  3. Okay, so now they are calling for light snow today, which is better than the 10 - 15 cm they were talking about the other day. And 4C on Friday. Still, I am wondering if spring will ever come...

  4. same here-freezing rain, rain, snow. Typical spring weather.
You have such cute Easter decorations :)
    Ear scritches to Annie!

  5. Again??? I am very flattered ♥️
    Love your bunnies...
    Enjoy your day...
    Linda :o)

  6. My bunnies are escaping and jumping around the house today. I think the chicks and lambs are sure to follow. Wishing you Spring soon!
