It's been a tad chaotic around the home-front these last few days. Youngest daughter has moved back in with her kitties and we are all slowly adjusting. The humans don't seem to have much difficulty but it's always a different story when it comes to felines. Annie
is quite set in her ways and hasn't much time for these unfamiliar, furry free-loaders. Plus she must protect Audrey
, who is spending more time than usual hiding under blankets yelling profanities as I walk by.
We have already done the introduction by letting the new-comers stay in one room and then slowly make an appearance and that seems to have gone well.
I'm sure after a few days the dust will settle (along with a bit more cat-hair) and they will all get along at least enough to live under the same roof for awhile. It's only for a few months and we all know how fast a month flies by.
already enjoying the main bedroom. She is an easy cat to be around and as you can see she is gorgeous. I've never thought there was too much happening upstairs, if you get my drift, and I do believe it contributes to her easy-going nature. This cat loves everyone immediately and fears nothing. "Hmmm"
She's very fond of knitting.
I now have a long-haired cat, who just so happens to love brushings, to fuss over again. You know how I enjoy grooming cats. :) Of course, this will only happen after Audrey
has been taken care of in the manner in which she has become accustomed to. That would be 'spoiled rotten'. That is, when she's speaking to me again. She has the OSPCA on speed-dial.
I'm sure I will have some interesting photos later this week. I'm trying to photograph Joe
but he'll have nothing to do with it.
Everyone is talking Spring
now. Are we all worn out people? I took a short trip to Perth today and came home with a new Spring tea/coffee cup so I guess I'm ready now. Bring it on!
The clocks spring forward this weekend. Yes!
Oh the joys of introducing cats! I'd be tempted to use the cup for more than tea *wink*. We have a girl with a vacancy sign in the attic window too...she would sit and watch the world collapse and not be bothered.ReplyDelete
Oh pretty kitty ! WOW long hair is right lol ! I am sure they will become good friends . I love your spring cup and saucer soo pretty never seen one like that before ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !ReplyDelete
I absolutely love your blog. I enjoy reading it everyday. Thank you.ReplyDelete
You'll get Joe eventually. Rae Rae looks like a real beauty!ReplyDelete
I can practically hear Audrey's yells of protest.
Oh my, hope the fur kids get over their 'visitor angst'! Rae Rae is a beauty! Love the pic of Audrey hiding though it is cute :)ReplyDelete
Rae-Rae is so cute. Tiger was here and playing on the floor and went home covered in cat hair (since being sick I've not vacuumed in a few days). It cracks me up, but if you visit here you are bound to go home with cat hair. Oh well! Hope all the furry kiddos settle in soon.ReplyDelete
Rae-Rae is a beauty!! I don't think a few more cat hairs will matter. My daughter lives with us for now, too, and a couple of the kitties are really hers but they've claimed me as their mama because I am home most of the time. They are a handful, but I love them all.ReplyDelete
That's a pretty new teacup you have found for spring! Enjoy!
The kittens have been here almost a year now and this is the first that Maeve has calmed down. She has been a bundle of nerves all that time. This week she has decided that Clara Jane is okay and will sleep right next to her. Clara Jane doesn't give a hoot if Maeve likes her or not but she is not a high strung cat and that seems to be what is working. Good luck with getting Audrey to accept the guests!ReplyDelete
Oh Deb...at some time or another, our children come home for a bit. And perhaps, that is a good thing! So enjoyed the photos and beautiful, beautiful Rae-Rae! Thank you as always for sharing tid bits of life!ReplyDelete
Looking forward to photos of the whole kit and kaboodle! Rae-Rae is a doll. The weather people are sayin' warmer temps by the end of the week...yahoo!ReplyDelete
Stunning cat. Simply beautiful.ReplyDelete
As is the cup and saucer. I believe it's one of the most beautiful I've seen.
The nicest of cats can become so very outspoken if their territory is invaded by a 'guest' cat. Our daughter and her family, which includes 3 cats and 2 dogs, were with us for about a month waiting for the closing on the house they bought a mile down the road. It made for some interesting animal inter-actions.ReplyDelete
If it all becomes too much, tell Audrey she can come live with us! :)ReplyDelete
Rae Rae is gorgeous. Can't wait to see Joe. Love your new teacup ... too cute and perfect for spring: flowers, birds and butterflies. Bring it on!ReplyDelete
I can only imagine the kitty fun you are having....:) The tea cup is awesome. I love tea cups and use to have a collection till I had to downsize...now I enjoy looking at them on blogs. :)ReplyDelete
Rae Rae is beautiful!ReplyDelete
Rae-Rae is a beauty... and I love that pic of Audrey's paw! And yes, we too have had our kids come home again for periods of time over the years. I quite enjoy it... except DH loses his ship-building room upstairs.ReplyDelete
