Looking for signs of Spring

We took a stroll around our side of town looking for signs of spring but there's not much to report yet.
The wind was cold so we are still in winter coats.

No matter what the season this town is a beautiful place to live. The town hall sitting at the bridge in the center of town is a gorgeous, heritage building.

Here's one sign...The Mississippi River was moving fast as it always does this time of year.

There is plenty of snow still here.

Kane enjoyed the 50 minute walk and had a good snooze afterwards.
We'll check again in a few days for signs of new life around our town.

The sun came out just long enough for Annie to have a cat-nap.

hugs, Deb

  2. There is something about a beautiful town on a river with a few heritage buildings tossed in that is very appealing, Deb.

    Annie is looking splendid!

  8. All the snow has finally disappeared from our yard, so I guess that means it's Spring here!

  9. My mom-person LOVE old buildings and museums too.
Over here in the southwest parts of Sweden have the spring arrived so much that you can sit outside in a T-shirt and drink coffe :)

  10. When we stayed in Ottawa, we were near a river...but my boyfriend thinks it was the Rideau canal!
We walked across to a big mall....in the pouring rain!
Your neighbour hood looks very "downtown"....I like that!
    Enjoy your dinner...evening....and weekend, Deb♥️

    1. Yes, if you were downtown Ottawa it would be the Rideau Canal. We live about 40 minutes west of Ottawa in a town of 10,000. I was born and raised in Ottawa.

  12. That is a gorgeous town hall, Deb, and the river looks swift. I can imagine Kane being knackered after that walk.

Linda's remark makes me think it's the Rideau Canal too. The Rideau River isn't that far away, but the mall reference makes me think of the Rideau Centre.
