For the love of dishes

I did some dusting today.
I do that on dull, rainy days.
It's not a chore for me. I actually have fun and appreciate the excuse to play with dishes.

"Hey Audrey, want to help me dust?"
"In your dreams, woman."

You can see some of the many pieces of pottery I have found in different thrift shops and antique shops in the last few weeks.

I have boxed up many other bits of china and sent them off to thrift shops to find a new home.
All but my blue and white which I adore.

You'd have to pry them out of my hands.

The late Linda McCartney and I had two things in common.
We both loved blue and white dishes and Paul. *grin*

Did you know she was a wonderful cook?
I still use her cook-book to this day.

I'm joining Sandi at  http://sandimyyellowdoor.blogspot.ca/ for Tea-Time Tuesday.

  2. Hi Deb,
Yes, I love your blue and white china too! You have some beautiful pieces. I had to giggle when I read about your things in common with L.M. I always favoured Paul too. ;) Thanks for joining me for tea and have a lovely rest of the week.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  5. Audrey, who you know I'm crazy for, has a face that reminds me of a panther or some other wild animal. She has that elongated face. Thanks for coming over!

  8. I'm with you, Audrey...yuck to dusting. However, now that the sun is shining so much more, one can see the dust motes swirling in the light. Time to get at it! Am taking tomorrow off from work (keep fingers crossed!) to vacuum, sweep, dust, re-arrange, shop for hardward (paint, insulation, etc.), then hubby can start on his outside projects, and I can put a coat of paint on the Cat Hotel. Whew!
