With full tummies from breakfast it was time for that first nap of the day.
But naps are short and the birds are very noisy as the winter chill disappears and a promise of spring is in the air.
We are hoping to catch sight of our resident rabbit again.
I had a visit from a Pileated Woodpecker again yesterday. I expect it is the same one that showed up last month. Perhaps it will hang around now and brighten up my feeders.
We have a few signs of Spring in the air. Snow and icicles are melting fast as the sun warms up and there are more visits daily from our local birds. They seem to be quite excited these last few days. A beautiful pair of cardinals were early visitors this morning along with a pair of doves.
Oh yes, the crows are here, too. haha!
The sun is warm and inviting! The drip drip drip of water from the icicles, and lots of birdsong makes one's heart soar!ReplyDelete
There's nothing like a nap after a good meal. I wish I could do that at work after lunch...ReplyDelete
Love the photos of everyone taking a nap! That of course is Charlie's favorite pose!ReplyDelete
We are dripping here too, beautiful to see the sun. Don't think it will last though. Kane looks so cozy in the sun!ReplyDelete

Kane seems quite happy, too :)
Naps are a very important part of a day for cats and dogs. We would be wise to learn from them!ReplyDelete
We had some warm sunshine today, too! And our birds seem to know spring is coming as they were singing their hearts out today! Kane looks adorable there during his nap. :)ReplyDelete
Our birdies have been singing away as the sun shines and temps are warmer . I took photos of our first spring bird and that was a Song Sparrow or as some folk call them Field Sparrow oh he was trilling and singing so wonderfully on the trees here today ! . I'm envious of your pileated woodpecker. We have them in our woodlot but it's been a while since I've seen one. Amazing birds!
