Happy St. Patrick's Day

We had to do something GREEN today so we headed to the Sun-Tech Greenhouse for a tour with Gwynn and her mom.

We were shown where the tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans & peppers were grown.
Children were amused watching the 'pickers' do their job.

In every green-house there were 'working' bees brought in from a local bee-keeper to pollinate the plants. Gwynn was fascinated with them as they flew back and forth from their boxes.

This Greenhouse is only minutes from the mouse-house so it will be nice to pop over to pick up fresh produce this summer.

Hope you had a Happy St. Patrick's Day.

hugs, Deb

I hope they have a website because I'd love to know more about their growing techniques. Thanks for the tour.

  7. What a great St. Patrick's Day! Gwynn is so adorable! I still can't believe she is such a big girl now!

I worked in a greenhouse one winter to learn how to develope my own small home one - lots to know. It was so lovely on sunny days when early spring was still a little chilly outside! I hope you got to enjoy a little extra light from the sun if not exactly sunshine today! What a great place to have for a "light break" in winter!

    Love,
    Lily
