Glads & chippies

Gladiolus on Pinterest

There are seven of these beauties about to burst open along our front fence. I'm anxious to see the colour as I bought a bag of mixed bulbs just for the surprise factor.
Won't be long now.

It was fun to see the chippy family out this morning.
They were glad I came by with some treats.
They were glad I came out with some treats.
This one I can almost touch.

I wanted to show off my gift all the way from Vietnam.

Lovely, isn't it.
Thank you, my dear daughter. It has found a home.

We are heading out for ice-cream later. Tell you why tomorrow.
hugs, Deb

  1. Feeding the critters is fun. Love your gift, is it a wind chime? Beautiful!

  2. Mr Chipmunk is quite cute. Love the full cheeks .
We like the Vietnamese gift too :)
    Purrs Georgia and Julie,
    Treasure and JJ

  3. Chipmunks are one of the cutest little animals to watch, especially at the bird feeders. "Greedy Guts" is a perfect moniker for pretty much every chipmunk that dines at our feeders too.

What a lovely gift . Ice cream ? Is it your birthday ?

  4. I visit daily but do not comment daily, but LOOOOOVE your page. We have kitties and of course, the world revolves around them. You folks have the corner on the market when it comes to the color green. Your yards and woodsy shots are spectacular. Love your creativity and appreciation for the finer yet more simple things in life. Love when you include Kane. Our kitties are Toby, an American shorthair, classic silver tabby and Lucy, a tuxedo girl. We have had many over the years that have reached the ages of 21 and 23. The girls, Cokie and Mousse both died in the same year at age 21. Barney, at 23, was the oldest. Always indoor kitties because we have coyotes in our "neighborhood". Thank you for your FABulous blog and especially grand photos.

  5. Lovely chime . I call our chipmunks greedy guts to lol ! Oh I love gladiolus they are the flower of August my mum grew them I am making yet another garden to have them for next year ! We are trying to get as many perennials as we can and spend less on annuals and have the perennials bloom one after another in each month so we have colour all through spring , summer to late fall ! Lovely photos . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !

  6. Dearest Deb,
LOVE that wind chime from Vietnam!
We were lucky earlier this year for having for once perfect gladiolus from our garden.
Happy chipmunks and hope your ice cream outing was a very special outing.

  7. The chimes look lovely. How do they sound ? Another element added to your garden.

  8. Is that a wind chime or rain chain? Is it your birthday??
Your glads will be beautiful. Can't wait to see what colors your are!
Chipmunks are cute to watch. Great closeup!

  9. Just looks at those adorable stuffed chipmunk cheeks! Exciting about your gladiolas getting ready to open. It has been years since I have grown them.

  10. Chippies are so cute when they are greedy =)
    The gift is beautiful!

  11. It is a lovely gift!

As far as the munks are concerned, there's time to rest in winter.
