It is at this quaint store that I buy my organic eggs that come from a farm only minutes away. Organic free-range eggs. Doesn't that just sound so much better then what we get in the grocery stores. It makes me happy to know these chickens live a normal chicken's life. I won't buy anything else now that I have tasted one of these fresh eggs. Without a word of a lie, these eggs even make my baking taste better. And that pumpkin bread I posted yesterday......1 loaf gone. I better take Kane for an extra walk today.
I am off to kitty-sit and I am also helping our 'foster lady' in our town with some kittens so she can cross the border to do some Christmas shopping. These are the latest kittens born to 2 throw-away cats that were rescued off the streets. One was put in a box and left in front of a store and the other was just booted out the door and the people moved. I'll stop right here talking about this because this is where I get nasty. :(
I love kittens. I will take 6 please. (hee hee)
This little boy loved me.
There is always a little 'runt' and this one I could just eat up
Here's mommy looking rather surprised but very happy to see company so she can have a break. This is the cat that someone left in a box in front of a store in town. She was pregnant and there was no room at the pound so she was scheduled to be euthanized. All these cats would have lost their life that day except that Shelly dropped in to the pound to pick up another cat and when she saw this desperate mother-to-be cat she brought her home and now her kittens are growing and full of life. Once the kittens are adopted and gone to their new homes then Shelly will find a good home for the mother. I just know Santa will be good to Shel.
ALL THE KITTENS HAVE BEEN ADOPTED AS OF TODAY.
I'm wrapping and filling stockings and watching HOME ALONE tonight.
The only thing better would be to have that little grey guy on my lap but he's already spoken for and my inn is full.
