Hopping from house to house

Hopping is a good word since I am also caring for bunnies this Christmas. I can concentrate on the cats 110% now because I am ready, other than putting the meal on, for Christmas day. Today was a joy since I got to see cats I haven't cared for in awhile now. Simba, the Abby is one of my all-time favorite.
He is so full of curiosity and craziness and he follows me everywhere to be sure that all the 'duties' are done to his liking. He reminds me of an old boss I had when I worked for the Feds. "Alright, alright..I'm going as fast as I can"
This is what I see when I open his can of duck and pea dinner.

Missy is a doll. Toothless, old Missy. We don't know each other yet but we are off to a good start.
Snowy is just one of those cats that you can't stop gawking at because she is so beautiful. I do love those white cats.

-added one more item to my cat-bag today. A pair of scissors. I hunted for scissors at one of my clients homes since I had to open a new bag of food and it required more than my hands. It didn't bother me that I had to look for them but it sure ticked off old Willow when she was very hungry and losing patience with me. Picture of her another day.

I moved the gifts downstairs today but placed them on a table for now. I thought they were safe but the sun shone on them and the big one became a kitty lounging spot.
I think I will have to put them on the roof if I really plan to have them out of paws-way.

Gary is still shopping. Ha! men kill me. I guess it's a male thing to wait 'til the last second and then pounce on the sales. "Good luck and I'm glad I'm not out there tonight."

Hugs,  Deb

  1. I love that expression on Simba's face, in the second photo. :-)

And I had to laugh at your comment re: Gary. No, I wouldn't want to be out there shopping last minute, either. Many years ago I spent 6 years working in retail (in Halifax), selling women's wear. I can't tell you the number of men who would stagger in on Christmas Eve, reeking of booze, desperate to just get *something* for their (probably long-suffering) wives. Anything would do, most didn't seem to care. At that time the stores were closed on Boxing Day (not sure if they still are), but come the 27th, the store would be a ZOO, with all the returns.

Boy, am I glad those days of working retail are long gone....LOL. Not my forte at all.

Anyway, I just wanted to wish you and your entire family a wonderful, joyous holiday. I'm sure Riley will be spoiled like crazy, and I hope we'll see pics of her and at least some of her presents. :-)

Solstice Blessings and a Merry Christmas!

  2. Love the photos of the lovely cats you care for. The photo of Simba looking up at you just makes me laugh. I have seen that look for sure! I had to run to WalMart today for a couple of things for some baking I am doing. Still many folks out there buying presents. I was able to zoom in and out with my few needs. Glad I am done. Mr ALC is a internet shopper!
