Herbs for tea

I'm planning to create a herb garden this summer. I can't wait to get started. It will be small but have all the herbs I use when cooking. I love to have lemon balm for tea. Did you know it is pronounced "HERB" not "ERB". I always had trouble with that.

I love the month of May and here we are again.
"Would you like to join me for some peppermint & honey tea to celebrate a new month, Mr. Ed?"

"No, I don't like that.. I'll wait 'til you have catnip tea." Only that would please my palate."

"Well, La Tea Dah, Ed!"

Here's to you, Eat, drink & be hairy.

hugs, Deb

  1. Catnip that's a thought, Deb! I did find some catnip flavored treats at the grocery store and 2 of my 4 love them! Hope you are having a great weekend!...hugs...Debbie

  2. Cheers! I've put catnip in my tea's a mint after all...

Say, I wonder how a catnip mint julep would taste?

    *wheels turning*

  3. I love my herbal tea ~ and love the idea of a herb garden. I look forward to what you all grow Deb!

  4. My catnip plant is the only herb that survived the winter in my garden. Lemon Balm tea sounds lovely.

  5. I agree lemmom balm sounds lovely. I hope all the herbs grow well.. Hugs GJ x

  6. I have an old herb book that designates the herb gardens according to use: tea garden, remembrance garden, etc. Love that idea!

  7. In our harsh weather nothing grows well. I'm feeling quite envious ,you know. What possessed me to live in such a climate...ugh! Wonder if the little gray cat could be wooed with some nip.
