update

It is really hot here again. The humidity is very high during the day. The nights cool off.

Today I passed around pictures of the homeless Siamese cat and gave copies of the ones I posted to the family that are feeding him. Of course, their concern is that he needs to find a home and be in-doors before it starts to get cold at night. He seems ok being outdoors but his eyes tell me that he needs the comfort of being someone's loving companion. They are so soft, so blue, so questioning.

Their female cat really does not like him. I watched as he approached her and she went down, ears flat, growling and had a terrified look on her face. He was amused by it and kept moving towards her. It just got uglier with her fleeing. They love their cat and don't want her to feel frightened so I understand them wanting to move him along although they are really fond of him.  He will find a home, it just takes time and work. He is off to the vet clinic today so I will know more soon.

Off to kitty-sit, bunny-sit & house-sit. Then I'll come home, make tea and sit.
and that's that.

hugs, Deb

  1. Oh Deb, there is something about this cat that just tugs at my heart. I do understand about them not being able to keep him. As you know I tried to rescue another cat and Charlie was having none of it. He has been the 'only' cat for too long now. Hoping you have a great weekend!

  4. Deb,
You are right. It is outrageous how people dump cats and think they can survive on their own. So many unwanted cats slowly dying miserable deaths out there. It's cruel.
The Siamese boy looks and sounds like a very special cat (but really have you met a cat yet that wasn't special??). I'm sure he will eventually have a good home. I'm so glad someone is looking out for him!

  8. Aww. He has such a lost yet loving expression. I really hope he finds a good home. (Goodness knows I'd take him in if I could...)

By the way, I'm having a small contest tomorrow if you want to drop by. The winner gets one of our greeting cards for free! :)
