A lazy Sunday

Our Annie this quiet morning.

Daisies help you through these drab days.

I have been out of commission for three days now with a pulled muscle in my back.
As debilitating as that is, I was at least able to sit in the office and get at some paper-work yesterday. Walking is the 'killer'.
Today it feels good enough for me to head out for awhile on this drab, snowy day.

I am always 'purging', because I am not a fan of  clutter (unless it is blue and white china),  but one thing I cannot dispose of are cards from my kids. I have saved every card ever given over the last 30 years. Some are hand-made, with sweet messages inside and all the ones from my son are hilarious. He has quite a dry wit.
3 kids over 30 years = lots of cards
They are kept in a wicker chest or as some call it "my treasure chest'.

We have had some milder weather the last few days and now I hear a cold front is heading our way.

Next week I  gets busy with cat-sitting right through to the end of February. I hope to have lots of kitty photos for you.

Note to self...always bend at the knee. :[

hugs,  Deb

  4. Bless your heart taking time to bless us with your blog even while you' re hurt. Take care.

  6. Sorry to hear you're out of whack!!! Hope you get back in whack soon!!!
Love the shot of Annie in the box and the daisies!!! I've got yellow tulips and yellow mums in the house to brighten the day!!!

  7. Try applying heat to it.

    Annie looks quite adorable!

  8. Pulled muscles are quite awful -- been there, and I know. I know your pretty blue and white must be cheery for you. Hope it all eases up very soon.

  9. Deb, I hope you are feeling much better very soon! Ouch!!! I have problems like that and you have all of my sympathy!

Love the header with Lily and Kane's photos! Awesome!

Enjoy your Daisies! May they brighten you days till the sun shines again. I have a amaryllis flowering that is a pretty pink - it is over 30 years old. I love it when it blooms in the winter.

  12. Ooooops!
Those Daisies look very glamorous in the sunlight!
    I bought myself 18 Tulips!

  13. I have a hard time getting rid of cards from son and hubby too. So I don't. :)

  14. Be sure to tale care of yourself. Don't let boredom get you doing things you're really not ready for.

The look in Peach's eyes really lets us know it IS her box. She means business!

  15. Take care with your back. I had shoulder surgery 5 weeks ago and am recuperating.

  16. I'm sorry about your back! I can relate. I lifted some boxes of books the "wrong" way yesterday, and I've been paying for it.

I wouldn't mess with Annie over that box. :-)

  17. I hope you are feeling better now, sorry about your sore back.. Cute shot of the kitty in the box! Have a happy week!

  18. I just read about your back. I'm sorry that happened; I know what it's like. There's nothing for it but time, I imagine. Take it easy until then.

  19. What a lovely post Deb: mi dulce Annie, your pretty china, the beautiful bunch of daises and all those children´s cards so lovingly kept for a loving mama! I also keep my son´s drawings and cards in a very special place they are surely a treasure!
